Is the .hk for Hong Kong??

I did not get a site at that URL.
 
A lot of country TLDs have the .com option. You'll quite frequently see something like: www.example.com.xx since .com is typically thought of as an American domain.
 
You probably don't own an international trademark, and it's unlikely anyone will confuse them with you. I wouldn't sweat this too much.
 
You just need to find a registrar licensed for that TLD. Check the major ones--Dotster, Register.com, or goole around for international domains.

Some extensions come with strings attached. At one time, .CN (China) domains required a "local office". If you didn't have a local office, you could "establish one" for an extra couple hundred bucks. All of this was handled through the registrar.
