As Victoria said, please tell us a bit more. You say you freelance but you also say you work from your home. Do you have a home based business and work freelance? If you do work from your home do you pay all the taxes and such that comes with a business?

I would also like to know who referred you to this forum.

I told Dov E. Kupfer AIFD about FlowerChat at Kansas City symposium this year. Hey there Dov. Ricky King here buddy.

Dov and I were judges of the AIFD student design competition.

Welcome Dov, it's nice to see you made it over here.

Dov is a huge worker in Texas State Florist Association and is AIFD. I think he would make a really good member of Flower chat.

Some of Dov's work is posted in the AIFD photos that Ricky took.

His specialty seems to be boutonniers. I always make a point of checking them out when I go to floral events....they are soooooo creative.

I love to see what craziness Dov comes up with for his boutonierres......Keeps me on my toes to see how I can go more over the top than he.

Been a few laughs over the years......Like this past symposium....I did not get a picture of it, but I took and added a matching floral complement to my tuxedo shoes for President's ball.....Carol saw it. I thought that flowers on the shoes was a little bit over the top.....and I was right.

Thank you to all for your generous comments on my behalf. It will be great being part of this Floral community.

To answer the queries about me. I am a freelance designer and I do work from home. I do not have a location per se, but do have a business set up. Designs by Dov E. is a viable business enterprise.

I do have my business name registered and I do pay taxes quarterly.

I do very little advertising and am not listed in the phone book by my business name. My clients and perspective customers can contact me through my home phone.

I am mainly a party and events designer, but will do whatever is needed for my clients.

I am involved in my community and university, and am also the instructor for floral design classes at El Paso Community College.
