BJ's thread of "accent" flowers for a dozen roses got me to thinking.

What vases do you use for a dozen standard roses?

And where do you get them from?

I am ashamed to say we use the dreaded 7922's and 7921's I HATE them with more passion than can be said in type. I want to find something to replace them with but my mom says I have to replace them with something similar in price. HELP!!

We use Syndicate Sales 4099. We get them on sale and find they do a great job for roses or just an everyday arrangement. Not too big, not too short with a nice mouth.

For a basic everyday vase - I like the C999 by brody or similar ( some call it an 8 inch rose vase )

roman column

I use a roman column #31175 for my roses and my $75 - 100 ish arrangements - a standard trumpet shape with a fat base, it pegs well for shipping.

If you are using 70 cm or longer roses, then yes, the c999 is a little short, but the roses were were getting ( when I was at the shop ) were 60 cm....and the c999's worked great.

Syndicate Sales 4042 run about $2.40 wholesale...

We use 4099's for 6 roses, they run about a buck a vase or less...

We use the smaller Gathering vase (4110)...it looks like a slim nuclear reactor...or the Square flair (3079). The gathering vases are usually on sale for about $3 ea and the square for $2.

For 2 dozen or more, we use the larger (4111), it makes a stunning 2 dozen...big & full!

I always found the C999 too short too. Just my opinion.
