Evening,

I had emailed Telflora rep of intent to drop membership, he emails that procedure is in resourse book but seems to think it is improper for him to tell me the deadline is in three days. I looked up the drop dates on the 4th of June, missed by 4 days.

Bet he was smiling when I missed the date. What an
un-ethical thing to do, not point out the date, what a poor quality wire service rep.

Directory/CD deadline is June 12 so that is not an issue, I did send certified return yesterday.

What is the procedure I should follow on not accepting any incoming and doing any outgoing? Who has been in a similar situation? TLF will not be happy. Sorry dude.

Hi Rhoda, what did you learn at the summit? Rhoda was at a marketing summit and caught all the fish on the fishing outing.

In my return receipt, certified notice of intent to leave TF at the end of their "directory"...I also told them I would neither send nor receive any TF orders after that date (the last date of the directory).
Do NOT whatsoever take their "please stay with us through the holidays - no fees, no charges" If you do stay, they consider you "reconsidered your termination" and keep you in the books again!

You should consider sending a SUSPEND or STOP message. Also don't forget to suspend your TF website (if you have one). It may take them a little while to get the message. After I quit FTD, I received orders for about a week (all of which were refused) until I sent the SUSPEND message.

maybe minus the 3 months of fees you think they should let you off on or everything you feel they screwed you on) if they agree to settle on the rest.
4th lmfao lol

Was that a joke?

That's some very bad advice, sorry.....no casino cash for that

Do you think they won't take you to collections and trash your credit?

OK Bloomz, I took down my post since you think it's bad advice but they agreed to all of it without any ramifications.

What an un-ethical thing to do,
Marc.... I think I found the problem... you're expecting ethics, from people who make their living doing unethical things....

Sorry you had to find out the hard way... I'd simply suspend myself, but some up in here think I'm a radical...

I sent a certified letter back in fall of 06, then another, and many phone calls. Finally after almost 2 more years of bills from them, which I disputed as they were all membership charges, it stopped. Dont fill anymore or send anymore. I don't know about anyone else, but once we were finally free, it felt like loosing 50 lbs of unsightly assfat.

when we quit tf, there was a $90.00 disputed charge on our statement.
they agreed to credit the $90.00 and we paid the rest. of course, they DIDN"T make the credit they promised(as per usual) but instead sent a VERY NASTY credit collections company out after us.

we recieved lots of horrifyingly nasty calls from this credit collection company and every time they called us ,we called tf and they would agree to give us the credit.

it was an indescribably unpleasant experience, but after 134,000 phone calls, letters, threats, screaming matches, it was finally resolved.

two months later they called to ask us to rejoin tf.

I've had some experience with collection companies going after inappropriate billings. In every instance, I replied to the collection agency that this was a billing that was "IN DISPUTE." Often (but not always) that was all it took. On two occasions, when they were reluctant, I asked for a supervisor, explained the situation and OFFERED to send a FAX copy of all correspondence. When I did this, the collection companies went away.

Collection companies only make money when they collect something. When you demonstrate that it is unlikely that they will collect anything, they move on to greener pastures.

Maybe I've just been lucky!
