Ok, I've mentioned this a few times, kept forgetting to post photos.

Here are the 3 roses that worked. Back to the drawing board, I guess!

The red one was injected a few spots along the step, NOT in a straight line up in. . I injected 4, fairly evenly spaced. Didn't work too well. The green one was injected into the base of the flowerhead.. I think it turned out fairly decent, but obviously I need to inject MORE spots. I injected it 2 or 3 times in a small area, trying to isolate the color to that section of the rose.

By contrast, the tri colored rose - I split the stem lenthwise and used the "soak up the dye" method.. I think it turned out pretty darn cool - waay too labor intensive splitting the stems to make in quantity, though.

OK, what kind of dye did you use...

What did you use to inject the dye....

Whoops, forgot to mention it in this thread - this was when I used basic food coloring, more to see how it would turn out. I figure once I've done a bit more and have a better feel for the wheres and hows, I'll get some floral dye and start over! LOL.

I used hypodermic needles to inject them

Cool, The injecting thing sounds like a better way to do more roses...
