We have four proms this weekend - now, we're not so popular that we do hundreds of corsages, but we do enough to keep us bizzeeeeee.

So many requests for glitter & painted tips, and my newfound aversion to paint/glitter snobbery, have me up to my elbows in the sparkly stuff. Fine by me; I find myself liking it more & more for proms & recitals ...

Some day, maybe we'll design sophisticated body flowers, with hypericum & ivy, billy balls, gloriosa lilies .... till then, I'm learning to bedazzle these babies! And, the kids loooooove the sparklies. Some are even becoming adventurous enough to try orchids & the gem bracelets (yes, we are five years behind everyone else in my little town).

Okay, gotta go shower this fairy dust out of my hair now!

HA !!!! - YES !!!! - Glitter Goddesses and Glitter Queens - UNITE !!!!!!!!!!

You go girl......bedazzle, glitterfy, and sparkle up those kids like no tommorrow.

When I was in New Mexico, it was all about the glitter... Here in nuts-and-berriesville
not so much..

I sure do love glitter.

You are the glitter goddess... but I was and forever will be Sparkle Farkle (with accompanying Farkle family members). I know this to be true because of the name tag on my design room door. The name has followed me to this career incarnation.

We have mostly stayed with the glitter spray, most of the kids ask for it now. I have a red/orange glitter I picked up from Michael's that is beautiful on red roses, not glaring and contrasting, very pretty blend, love it. I also have used it on red Christmas balls, love that too.

very cool!
what do you charge for those glitter bouts?

It's $8 for a basic rose w/gyp. Paint, add $1, glitter add $1, ribbon wrap add $1, so most are $10-$11.

Yesterday, we did a DV burgandy carn, tipped in black glitter - very goth, but not icky. I didn't start taking pics till closing, so I'll have to re-make that & take a pic.

I still found glitter on me today, even after showering

lol ......... at finding glitter after showering........ When I was at the shop full-time, Mom always said jokingly - "Must be prom-time or Christmas - Here comes Ricky, covered in glitter, must be time to get the tree out"

the label says
Luco Stardust ( for the irridescent white)

HERE's their siteOoooo look at the hot pink!
HERE.

It's just the brand our wholesaler sells, I think. Truth is, the jars are possibly as old as me - I don't know anymore if they were here when I bought the shop, or we inherited them from one of the shops' inventories we bought out.

Had a freind years ago when I was doing prom work and was covered in glitter would ask me what strip joint or corner I was working that night? I'd come back with what ever one you want me to be working at in your dreams.
I think I've still got glitter on my shoes from 6 weeks ago.

This is probably ridiculous to ask but I have no experience with it so I have to: how do you glitter the edges of the rose the easiest? The only glittering I am familiar with is the spray glitter.
