Engagement

I'm really tempted Lori. She has already sent me 10 links and pinterest is her new favorite thing. I ignored 2 phone calls from her today at work because believe it or not I actually do work.

Have you heard of the champayne cellars at the Biltmore? The good news is it only holds 30 people, the bad news it's like 200.00 per person lol. That's only idea #1

Jenifer, we had all three choices, the formal big budget, we had the outdoor and "public" wedding venues, and we had the beach wedding, in the Mayan.......IF it were my "decision" a beach wedding, with family, that ALSO want a nice holiday!!
ALL were spectacular, we "understand" that it CAN BE out of your hands, BUT, as a parent, you NEED to be a parent, and give THE BEST you CAN for your baby girl, WITHIN your capabilities, and TELL them up front!
I hope the guy that's gonna be responsible for YOUR grand-children, "understands" what HE needs to do,as well!...he's a very lucky man!

One of my daughter's got an engagement ring for Christmas, It's been less than 24 hours and i'm already hoping they elope. I don't think I'll survive.

Congrats... and ME TOO~! not the elope part... looking forward to doing another family wedding~!!!

aawww thanks Mikey, he is a great guy - no worries there. I'm afraid the only Grandkids from these two will be the 4 legged kind.

Congratulations Jenifer!!! Relax... enjoy it! It will come together just as it should be.

My son is proposing to his girl in January sometime. :) The wedding will be in California. Road trip!!! :)

Congrats Jenifer and Boss ~ there is nothing quite like adding another son to the family, especially when they are beloved like my two "borrowed" sons. Both of my daughters asked me when the best time of the year would be for their weddings ~ one was July and the other September. (They were both given any time within the third quarter if they wanted my help...).

Don't worry Jenifer, the first excitement will be over before Valentine's Day and then will come in spurts. Just very nicely tell her that you need to set some boundaries for when you are available to her for bouncing ideas and during those times you will be completely all about the wedding, hopefully she will understand. My girls were 9 and 15 when we opened the shop and worked the major holidays so they knew from the outset that there are times when, unless it's bleeding, the shop takes priority.
