So when my epicflowers partnership fell through I was supposed to get my website back. The site went down about a week ago, due to a contract ending with our Miami filler. I spoke with my server provider about getting the site pointed back to my local website for now. I went to look to see if it had taken affect yet and the image below is what I saw. (see image below of the 1800flowers click through logo/link)

I was VERY mad and still am VERY upset about this. (I couldn't find an emoticon MAD enough to place here - Use your imagination) I was never asked if this was ok and instead of calling the corp who was funding the project and hosting the website, I decided to make a 911 call to my server porvider telling them take epic and point it ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stayed on the phone until the change was made and he said it'll be an hour before it changed. So if you were to look at it now, it might fine.

It's this kind of CRAP I had to deal with when it came to big corporate business. I've found out that I am not "shark" enough to be in the big pond of capitalism and I also found out: time > $.

:badwords:
I think that's what you're looking for ... you have to go to "rude smiles" - appropriate, no?
I think it's a good thing to not totally fit in the corporate world ... keep you feet here with the rest of us working stiffs.

Hey Daz...that sux....how come you don;t have the DNS control yourself?

Also...whats that thing across the top of your sreen shot...looks like a music player...oh and what version of FF are you running...looks all warm and fuzzy compared to the one I have...

TRACY! That is it :) TY.

I have DNS control now. Luckily the guys who registered it awhile back are friends of mine.

That is my music Player - WinAmp skinned with MMD3 and colored orange, my favorite color. :) And playing is Canada's Gift to the USA, Gordon Lightfoot. :)

That warm and fuzzy look is the Noia 2.0 Theme. All themes and extensions are free for FF. The bar under the main bar is an Extension call RankQuest, which I use for SEO optimization.

Themes:

Extensions: https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/?application={ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}

Other themes I like is the Mac one ifox and Scribbles_plain

Other Extensions I use: Bettersearch 1.0 (info on websites before I go in saves me lts of time) - Colorzilla(if you are a webdesiger this is great) - StumbleUpon (if you want to have hours of fun)

Brandon -

Kirkland's new home page is simply awesome. The designs are gorgeous, the environmental effects are warm and the text on the home page is terrific.

I'm gonna post it in the cool websites thread. :)

Now that I've gone completely off topic... great that you got 1800 off your landing page. Was that an affiliate link put up by your former partners or did the hosting company just throw up the ad to fill space? LOL

My partners were the host and yes they put that on to make money. :( Thanks for the thumbs up on the website. I did that front page in 2 hours. :)

JB taught me a way to DNS to certain folders and my provider is setting that up right now. SO I can have 20 sites, for $10 a month :). Plus I'm going to make kirklands.biz the Info site, chicfloral.com the wedding site and epicflowers the e-commerce site. That way I have lots of content spead out with unique pages.

Now to add E-Commerce!
