I am getting rid of household items in a Estate Sale that is schedule for Tues. I came across a few things I need your opinion on.
First.
I have in my possession a Dark OAK HUTCH with mathcing table and 4 chairs. THis Hutch is about 7 feet tall about 4 feet wide and had three doors. It is in two pieces and the bottom half open with shelving for storage. The table is about 5 Feet long with 4 hight chair and one of them is a captains chair. THe footing is one of those humongous base in the middle.
Both units are in very good shape.
Would anyone take a guess on the value of this unit. I do have a price in mind and I know the value paid on it 20 years ago but I just want to know if I am i the ball park on this one.
Sorry I don't have apicture to show...I will tell you my price after some responses.

THe Other item is a record player/8 track/radio cabinet. It is about 2 feet tall and 3 feet long. I turned it on and it works great. I got some records about 30 of them to go with this. Nice sound, radio plays and it was hooked up to cable. The only thing I couldnt play is the 8 track deck but I am sure it works also.
I know it is so old, but I thought maybe another senior would enjoy this for their home. Cabinet is also in good shape.
Care to help me price this item also?

Any opinion is helpful on what to look for.

Luc, You'll have to call Antiques Roadshow; they were over here last year and did shows from TO; even take some pics and email to them. Actually, it sounds like a great piece for using as a display in your store. We have a Cherry wood buffet and hutch that we use in our store that Jane and I picked up at an estate sale in St John's in 1978 ( it's about 100 years old). If you do any oldies promos it would be a novelty piece (must be the girls packrat mentality here rubbing off!).
