I was online Sunday night purchasing a couple of items from newegg.com. I was logged in and I had the items in my cart. I reviewed the order and when I clicked to proceed with checkout, the price on one of the items raised $5.00. The sale price of the item was to end on Monday, but it was not Monday on the west coast yet and I already had passed the first stage of checkout when the price raised. I canceled the order.
I e-mailed them since live chat was not going and called when I didn't get a response on Monday mid-day. Ed told me to go ahead and place the order and e-mail him with the order info and he would credit my account. I did that. Newegg sent me an invoice announcing that the items had been shipped and I noticed that my $5.00 was not credited. Check my bank account - no $5.00. I thought Ed was to take of it? Well, on Tuesday I received this e-mail from Ed:

I wonder if I'll get my 5 bucks back if I don't play the extortion game. I know it's only 5 bucks, but it used to be my 5 bucks.
Ahhh...The customer service...
