A new employee took this order--Just Flowers called, wanting extremly specific contents, some we had, some we didn't, after calling her customer back twice we finally decided on the flowers. Then she proceeds to give my employee the order, spelling out extremely slowly,
Mary, M A r Y, Bill, B I L L, you get the picture, when he finally gets everything typed in & ready to close transaction she says, thanks, I'll Merc it to you. I then had a talk with my new employee telling him why we don't accept orders from Just Flowers,
I think he was glad he won't have to deal with them anymore.
Do they just hire idiots??

yes but they are sneaky idiots and that makes them even more irritating..if I hear one more time that their "merc or dove is down" and can they 'give it to me over the phone"...I think I will barf. We just tell them that they are too hard to collect from without a paper trail and to try someone else. If Just flowers is reading..feel free to take me off your call list....

And what the hell is that all about anyway??? It's so much easier when they just dove it over. dumbasses...Can't stand them.

Also on the list is

From you flowers
wesley berry
1800flowers
and a few others I can't think of.

This group is definately the worst of the o/c's. One ordertaker ask if I could throw orchids for filler in a doz roses. How bout them prices?
P Bird

Orchids as fillers, huh???

Thats a good one....

If they "call" I am suspious.
(But sometimes circumstances may deem it neccessary.)

First question: What is your shop name?
Are you a REAL flower shop?
If it's FU flowers or the likes: I DON"T FILL YOUR ORDERS ---click
Also, if it's from TF HQ I won't fill the order.
If it's from a TF shop why don't they dove it or call me.....because it's from an order gatherer. Or perhaps it's from someone who ordered from TF online..which then makes TF HQ an OG.

We have a rule at our shop, ALL incoming wire orders go to me. If I'm not there they go to my mom.

I am mostly looking for TF HQ, 1800, and the dOGs we don't accept from. Any other, I will tell my staff to go ahead and take the order.

This rule came about when TF HQ and 1800 started playing games. They would call, ask the person who answered the call if we delivered to wherever, ask if we had whatever flowers and say thanks and hang up. Send over an order for way too little money and argue that they got an "approval" when we ask for more money. Sorry that's not an approval.

OR we will get an order, ask for more money, then they call and without saying they already sent an order to us ask if we can do whatever arrangement. Designers would simply answer yes. They would then send a message saying they talked to the "boss" and got an approval. NOPE, that doesn't work either.

I COULD keep going but....

Yep... everything Carrieann said....

Tells me that they are beginning to have a harder and harder time getting orders filled, as they have to call first, then use deception and tactics to try and push the order through...

All inbound orders here are "scrubbed" by either myself or two other employees trained to spot a bogus order...even if it's for $100.00 or more... all depends on who it came from!

And...they are only going to get sneakier. And more annoying.

I think I will send TF a bill for my ink, paper and TIME they will waste with their "crap" orders.
Orders for things :
I am not coded for,
way below my minimum
with no delivery fee
way underpriced
Or, from TF HQ

Ho Ho Ho

Speaking for me alone...... when I have an outgoing order for a client, I PREFER to call the shop I selected to fill the order. I want to talk to the person on the other end. I want to convey to you the emotion, the nuance, exactly what it is my client wants. If there are special notes or instructions to that order, I want to be able to tell you about them and make sure it is noted.

I truly feel I can convey to my client that I am completely satisfied that their needs wil be met after verbally engaging you in conversation......much more so than just sending it on a machine and hoping for the best.

RWK, I'm liking what your saying - I do the same- If By phone I'm not feeling this shop can fill my needs, I hang up after Thanking the florist and then to find that just right florist that clicks with my order.
I have spoken to some florist that are just wonderful and a pleasure to deal with.

I can always tell when an order has gone through the "loop" - ie. I refuse it, so they try every other flowershop in an adjacent town and somehow the very same order with the very same price comes back to me, sometimes by Dove or over the phone. I simply refuse it again. It infuriates me when it comes back over and over again. Such a waste of time and energy! Also, I know of shops that receive an order they don't want to fill, because there isn't enough money in it, so they forward it by phone through the OTHER wire service. Isn't this against the membership rules?

I know, is I just DUMPED those 1800 idiots and I couldn't be freakin' happier!!!!!!!!!

In my letter, I asked them NOT to contact me and that my decision was final...Guess What??? Man, they don't have a clue!!
