I need some inspiration for a zoo party that is coming up. I'm in charge of the decorations and the theme is "Eye of the Tiger." I've got a couple ideas but I thought I would check with the creative geniuses on this board for some awesome inspiration. Thanks in advance!

What about some yellow and orange gerbers, beargrass.and other greens. I guess I am seeing a lush grasssy enviroment with the gerbers as the eye. Or a tiger set piece amoung the greens. Or pave style arr. in tiger stripes and grasses.
What about creating an "eye of a tiger" pave' using petals, leaves, whatever! There are plenty of pics of them online - I'm an LSU Tiger, so I know I've seen them.

Are you doing centerpieces? Where else are you decorating? Do you have a budget? Do they want a literal translation, or do they want the overall style?
As for style, I also think grassy. What about cubes lines with equ...snake grass, and a pave design of orange celosia, mambo spray roses, monkey fern (curly brown) and other rich textural flowers. I would use black/brown polished river stones to sprinkle on tables and/or fill buffet vases (with flowers on top of them).

Oh wow!!! I love all the textures. I'm not too sure what my budget is just yet but I don't think I will be too limited. I am working with a rental company so they are going to provide table cloths and such. I have to decorate 15 tall cocktail tables. It will be lots of fun!!! I would love to see a picture of an "eye of the tiger" pave.
