Ok everyone out in flower chat land. Wanted to update you on ezbloomers.com We are now up to 2,000 localities and picking up steam.
We have also received productive critique of the website and have already made many changes to improve the site:
1. We have received great input from florists on the photography so we have replaced virtually all the photography on the site. We would welcome a re-examination of the site and look forward for additional input.
2. We have updated prices again from input from many florists. We again would welcome your examination and tell us what can be improved. Please keep in mind that all prices include delivery.
3. We look forward to additional input. We will not stop till we get it right!
We are open to constuctive criticism, and the operating word is constructive. I will tell you that there has been a lot of knee jerk reaction to a picture or two or to our concept without full knowledge what we are trying to accomplished.
I Understand there has been many people passing through the industry and claiming their business plan is to benefit the industry -- when that was never their intention.
We are genuine in what we are doing. Check out our track record (Abner Maldonado & Kimba Vazquez). We have been trying to benefit the industry since the 1970's and have succeeded.
1. Kimba and I (Abner Maldonado) were the first to develope the first florist system back in 1977 (Conner Park Florist).
2. 1980 we developed the first online order entry system. And you know what was funny about that -- we were getting the same resistance from many florists (like yeah! sure that will never happen!!). Every system in the industry today now has our original vision of orders being directly entered on to the computer online, with credit cards being authorized and automatically sent out via Mercury.
3. Kimba and I were also the first to lnk the Mercury System to a PC back in the late 1970's.
4. We were to first to link the Mercury 3000 to a 3rd party system (800 Flowers Corporate in 1991).
And we can go on forever GPS, Mapping etc..
But our point is that we are at it again today for the benefit of the Florists, the consumer and hopefully ezbloomers.com
Again we ask all of you out there to join forces with us and help change the dynamics of the industry.... It's been going the wrong way for a while now.
Collectively it can be done... How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
