Today on Ellen, in honour of her 600th show, Christina Aguillera presented her with a bouquet of 6' roses with a stunning glass vase. :) She told Ellen the roses were from Ecuador and for my money, gave a boost to real florists.

Just thought I'd share, in light of the CBS debacle this morning.

One of my weekly customers is a wild and crazy dentist (he's quite fun, as far as dentists go).....He has a tv on in the office and saw the show.....was on the phone to me within MINUTES wanting to order them for v-day!!
Seems at this time they are not able to ship to canada ...the gal I spoke to in California says they hope to change this in the near future.
They do look stunning yes?
talk about a WOW factor!
hmmm...mabey next year!

You'll notice the wacky dentist called a brick and mortar shop and not some nebulous entity out there.

It was great exposure... especially on that show. :)

Another big boost today.

Amy stewart (flower Confidential) was on the Diane Rehm shop on Public Radio from 11-12 here. She gave great plugs to using your local florist for better product, more selection and design. Several times I kept say "YES" to her comments.

She did mention organic product that we need to become more environmental consious and start asking for pesticide free product.

I didn't hear if she said anything about on line direct ship companies as I did miss some parts here and there [had to do some work]

she also mentioned visiting your local florist for your valentine product as they would have the ability to design a gift suitable for the personality of the recipient and be more informed about design, varieties etc.

...

Can someone please give me an example of someone (anyone?) out there that is advocating environmental destruction and pollution? I only ask because I just don't understand why people feel the need to promote clean water and air, when its impossible to find *anyone* who is against it.

Its like saying, "we all need to become more "child-abuse" conscious..."
