FC and earthquakes

Here I am responding to my debating buddy OT and the next thing I know I am a shaking and a rattling.

We just had a 5.4 earthquake with the center being about 60 miles from here. That is pretty big for around here.

Did anyone else feel it?

Not me, I'm down south right now. Hope your nerves aren't rattled. But I have to chuckle that even an earthquake didn't keep you from FC. Really says something powerful about this community.

Just saw it on the news (washington DC) they said it was the biggest earthquake in 40 years.

Actually the faults in the Eastern US are larger than those out on the left coast...they just seem to be glued together better....

I've felt afew quakes here in Ontario... it's a bizarre sensation. Glad you're ok.

about 60 miles. I am sort of the mid point between St Louis and the Epicenter. STL is 123miles west of the epicenter, according to the one of the local news channels.

In St. Louis County I didn't feel a thing, was sound asleep but my brother who was awake felt it.

We felt it here in southwest Ohio. We were mildly shaken (not stirred) this morning!

Actually, our pets were acting so bizarre that we knew something was up - I thought there was going to be a break-in in our home because both animals were crouched/growling/wimpering/and navigating the perimeter (inside) of the house.

It only lasted about 10 seconds and our area has no damage. FOX News says there is damage in Louisville and Indy. I hope all our FC buddies are OK!

I think we just had an aftershock or a really big truck went by. All the plants and silks were aquivering.
