is there anyplace you all would recommend (preferably online) where i can order white ostrich feathers? does anyone have any they are trying to unload. i think i would need about 100 or 125. thanks...thetis

I have ordered them from a company off Ebay which had really good prices and beautiful feathers. I will try to see if I can dig up the store name.

Several feather companies - are out there. These are two of the best and the most reliable

One of the largest is Zucker Feathers out of Missouri - www.zuckerfeather.com
Another one is Fabulous Feathers - www.fabulousfeathers.net

Of course no birds were harmed in the gathering of these feathers?

I would think that no birds are harmed. In todays PC and eco-minded world....if birds were harmed, then I don't think that company would be in business long. At least as far as wild birds are concerned........Farmed birds......I have no idea.

I can think of several countries, where products like this come from... wildlife isn't in their thoughts... neither is human life. So I would be diligent in investigating the practises used to harvest feathers.

I'm from Orange County so this place is within driving distance of me. I don't know what there prices are for shipping but I always get a big bag of feathers for 40 or 50 dollars. The last time I went I spent 16 dollars and probably got 300 plus feathers. And they have a really funny name...My brides love it when I tell them I will be getting their feathers from the Mother Plucker Feather Co. http://www.motherplucker.com/
