TF goes up yet again on fees...

I notice my per order fee has gone up for web orders to 3.45 each...

and a blurb about managed services fee will be going up to 15.00 a month...

I can't take all these increases...I am still locked in for 14 months for pos payments...I am so sorry I chose this route...I wish I had the cash to buy out my system and quit...ah the lessons we learn the hard way...

If you have a line of credit or a home equity loan you could pay off your POS. By leaving Teleflora you'll save those monthly fees and high rates which in the end will more then pay you back. During times when we need tighten down our finances saving several hundred dollars per month makes more sense. Hope this helps.

I wonder how many shops they loose that can't pay their bill? I know of two that they lost becasuse of them not paying their bill. Maybe that is why fees are going up becasue of shops not paying their bills.

Each travel voucher is good for airfare for two adults to a wide selection of locations in the Caribbean, Mexico, USA, Canada, UK and more. Travelers must pay for the lodging at the location of their choice, including Hilton, Starwood/Sheraton, Hyatt and Ritz properties. Vouchers are fully transferable, and may be used to provide a florist with a well-deserved vacation away from the yucky greyness of February, or can be used as promotional items in store.

What are "managed services"? Is that in regards t their web sites?

$3.45 per order seems like A LOT! I mean if you get 50 orders a month that's $172.50 on top of their other web fees...(How much are those anyway?):hammer:

There are much more cost effective options out there...!!

These new fees have prompted me to call Ryan and talk to him about his newest deal...got to talk to the hubby about the possibility..I just have a few more questions for Ryan...and it will be a go...

Teleflora is also charging a very high reciprocity fee ~ 4.5% with a 5-1 ratio. I understand that after you get hit with the reciprocity fee the ratio then changes to 3-1. With the internet taking away alot of the walk-in business and sending orders not being the same volume as years ago, how do they justify this extra hit ?

The dollars just keep slipping away.

They don't have to justify it, florists just keep paying it.

Not only are you paying this per order fee, you're paying a monthly service charge for maintaing the site......plus, selling TF containers, you pay a fortune for?????

I know that are able to modify the tf sites and put your own stuff on - but, how many really do this extra step??

Can you tell me where you see the reciprocity charges on your teleflora statement? I can't find anything entitled this - which doesn't surprise me.... everything is in code anyway!

It is usually at the end where the QA fee is...

You may not be paying it if you are TF only...and send exclusively through TF...

I have a TF website...and frankly it is all I have time for...we have cut so much out of our costs and really reduced labor just trying to survive. We are the only TF shop in town and also the one shop in town that has a website. I love the idea of having a custom website, but frankly there aren't enough hours in the day to take photos, upload descriptions and prices. Right now, I am willing to pay for that service.

In my opinion, the images are much more professional than I could ever do...I am a florist, not a photographer, and the upkeep and the need to change for each occasion would kill me. TF does it all for me. And, my web orders are typically a higher price point than what people buy when they call or stop in...and some of those who order online are local customers and are willing to pay more when they order over the internet, go figure! I've done the math...and while I don't make much of a margin during a non holiday month, I do well with web orders financially during December and May. It boils down to getting paid 80% of the order on average, and I am ok with that.

I don't like to see costs go up, and I will fight them, but frankly, I don't have the time or energy to do it myself even with Strider's wonderful help. I am sure I could carve out time to get it set up initially, but ongoing would be a huge challenge.
