I am a freelance designer from Canada who specializes in funeral work, although I design for all occasions. My company is The Sleepy Beagle, named after my late beagle.

I also work weekly as a part-time independent contract designerfor Newland Florist in Ellsworth, Maine.

In the 1970's, I studied floral design at Constance Spry, a school in London, England. I also worked a year for the Savoy Hotel Group and also a year at Harrods, as a florist.

Can we assume you also carve birds and do you sell them? I worked with a guy years ago whose Dad did the most amazing little birds. He'd never part with them.

Constance Spry is a name to be greatly respected and adimred, especially over in the UK, where she was an imaginative trendsetter back in the 30's - 50's. I bet that schooling was fascinating and well worth it. Welcome to Flowerchat boards.
