FFK & The New School Year

It's a new school year and I've started to hear from teachers (teachers that invite me back every school year) that want ffk for their new classes of students. This morning I received a request from a new teacher that had heard about ffk. She indicated that she was interested as well as another teacher in the same school and grade.

I have 5 booked ffk classes now through December. It's already October! The school year will be flying by. It's best to get moving early with ffk and local schools because before you know it, it will be June again. Don't miss an opportunity to reach out to your schools early!!! Remember, holidays are coming! Be top of mind in your community.

FFK thank you letters

I had a class recently of 4th grade students. (the one featured in the newspaper) one of the teachers just stopped with thank you letters from the kids. Here are a few of my favorites-

Thank you so much for coming to our school. We are so grateful. The thing I liked the best was when we got to make our own bouquet. I learned what flowers need to live longer and why lines are so long. I gave my bouquet to my mom and dad for their anniversary.


Thank you for the bouquet. The flowers are very beautiful. I learned that there are different kinds of flowers. I thought flowers were just flowers. I hope you can come again. I learned that flowers are given on special occasions.


Thank you for the beautiful bouquet of flowers. I really like the rose a lot. I like the rose the best because it makes me feel good about myself.
I learned about the way to take care of my flowers. I also learned about feeding flowers.
I gave my mom the flowers and she put them in water right away.

Thank you for coming. The focals that you brought were very pretty especially the sunflowers. I learned the greens make it look natural and the lines make it look tall. The focals make it look pretty. Thank you for teaching us to make the water clean and good for the flowers. I'm probably going to do that with all my flowers. Making the bouquet was very fun. All the bouquets were very pretty.


Thank you for coming. I like when you made the sugar lemon solution. I learned a lot about flowers. I was very intresting when you said you have to cut the stem and you have to hurry and put it in the water. I gave my mom my bouquet.

Today I taught 1 large group of 2nd graders (2 classes combined). What a great time! I might be a little bias since my daughter was in the class. It helps to have a 'ringer' with the q & a!!!

The class went extremely well. The bonus is that one of the teachers is getting married in June, needs a florist and asked for my card! So for 1 hour of doing ffk I hope to bag this wedding. I also dropped off some flowers and business cards to the front office as well.

This Saturday I'm trying something new with ffk - kids' birthday parties. We'll see how this goes but might be another way to promote my business and maybe make a little $$$ as well!!!
