I should have taken a photo of it, but I did a gorgeous design for a friend's funeral visitation earlier today. I was in such a rush, that I totally forgot to grab the camera. ( Yes, I know - Shame on me )
I did a design that I call a 'floating wreath.
I took a one of the acrylic syndicate sales urns, foamed it, then inserted four bamboo rods into the foam along the edge of the urn making a cone shape. I then took a loosely wound grapevine wreath and wired it to the top of the bamboo completing the upside down cone.
I then took pink carnations, pink roses, white lily, lavender lisianthus, green preserved amaranthus for the flower complement.
I dropped the flower heads through the top of the grapevine and inserted the stems end into the foam......I then used the pan melt glue to glue the draping amaranthus along the edge of the wreath.
It turned out so pretty. I am kicking myself in the butt for forgetting my camera though.
