OK - How would you make a floating wreath? As in a wreath of flowers that floats, for a memorial service.

I have vague memories of us doing one here a decade or so ago, but can't think for the life of me how we did it.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

A floating wreath is easier to make than you might think.......If you are using the Oasis Wreath ring.......that sits on pad of styrofoam that is the same size as the wreath.....wooden stakes extending out from there in a radial pattern to a larger styrofoam ring. The outer ring acts as a outrigger to stablize the wreath. You just use long flowing materials from the oasis wreath to cover the styrofoam.

If you are using just styrofoam.......then you just decorate the outer ring and let your materials cover the inner pad.

If it's a windy day, the wreath will always be blown against a wall. We had to anchor them with a weight to keep them floating in the center of the swimming pool. We didn't anticipate this problem, and I wasn't the one jumping in the pool to make the adjustment. Fishing line and something like a small brick for the weight.
