Floral orbs question

Hey guys - how many carnations does it take to make a 10 - 12" floral
orb? Would a 6" Oasis sphere be big enough? Planning to use the "Moon" series carnations and I know they're not as full as reg. carns - might want some roses in there too. I'm just not familiar enough with doing the orbs to advise my friend on how many blooms it will take to make these. Thanks for your help!

J just did an episode on measuring how many inches and flowers per inch by dividing a dry sphere in 1/4s and inserting X amount of flowers. Multiply by 4 for the total flowers...
Not sure on diameters but I would assume an 8" sphere should give you at least a 12"-14" round.

I'm pretty sure it takes about 126.

Just saw a 4"(?) foam sphere done with 75 dark purple carns and it was 6" to 8" when finished.

For an 8" oasis ball, I count on 125.
