Thanks, those were nice to read.

Did you notice how they left the "o" out of the word God, as if it were an offensive word. SAD!

Knife's Wife

Actually my friend who spent many years on a Kibutz (spelling) in Isreal explained that Jews always spelled God without the "o". I questioned him about it as his essays always had it spelled that way. It was a long time ago so I'm trying to remember his words... the gist of it is, if the papers were damaged or destroyed in any way God's name would not be defiled. It has everything to do with respect... not disrespect.

Thouhgt afew of you might like reading these quotes about flowers.

I liked one so much, I made it my signature. :)

When I walk with you, I feel as if I had a flower in my buttonhole. ......William Makepeace Thackeray (1811-1863) - English novelist

This one is my particular favourite as it carries so much meaning with it. Thanks for sharing D... as usual it is appreciated.

Yes indeed, it's a poor day when we don't learn something. :) You're quite welcome.

My favorite:

"Don't strew me with roses after I'm dead. When Death claims the light of my brow, No flowers of life will cheer me: instead You may give me my roses now!" -Thomas F. Healey

Some of the nicest surprises I have received these past couple of years involve receiving flowers. It's nice to know that inspite of being surrounded by blooms, I still enjoy having them sent to me... my friend gets that. :)

I would rather get them while I'm still standing... but I have no objection to sending them to the funeral home either. ;)

It's the same thing with Xmas. I heard that X means or is the beginning. So when it was originally used, Xmas, meant christ or the first or something.

I'm tired.
