Florist Get Together!!!! OH, KY, IN, PA etc.

After Tracy, Adam and Diane started having their get together I was jealous so, I've been wanting, for a long time, to have a get together with other Ohio, and surrounding area, florists.

I'm thinking that it should be held in Columbus because that's a central location for most of us and have it in the fall on either a Saturday evening or Sunday. Labor day is probably too close to try to pull it all together but, that would have been great!

What do you all think? Anybody interested? It's about a three hour drive for me and I see that it's about the same (or less) for our Pittsburgh area florists!!!

I've been thinking of trying to put this together for awhile now but, Inferno really got me thinking about it seriously so I figured I'd throw the idea out there and see who was interested.

I think you should bite the bullet and drive the extra three hours to Jersey :>. I promise to share my Cafe Patron if you do, maybe your own special bottle .....

Good luck with the get together - I think it's a terrific idea, and hope it spreads!

I'm trying to get my husband to take me to NYC. Don't worry, if I ever make it to your neck of the woods you can bet that you'll have to have a drink with me :>
 
I would love to get together, and will try to make any time you pick. Labor day weekend is terrible for me, but I am open to seeing what works for everyone else. Hope we can pull it off, thanks for getting the ball rolling!

Nah, Labor Day is too close but - I'm horrible at picking dates so we can do a poll to see when everyone wants to do it, if there is enough interest. Yeah!! I'm so excited. I was hoping that some of our PA florists would be close enough to come!!!!
 
Heading home Sept 10-14 Cincy & Lexington

Unfortunately I fly out on Sunday morning - so probably no chance - but I'm flying into Cincy on Weds. afternoon and will probably be heading down to Lexington to see my sisters & neices & nephew for most of the time.
Would be great to meet some of you if I can swing it - let me know what you work out!

Lol, now that you mention it, I was thinking of having it at Easton just because it's convenient and out of the city. As far as the location - I was thinking more along the lines of a place where they serve drinks ;)

You go, girl! Both of our meetings in Jersey were alcohol free. Maybe next time we'll add the hooch to keep it up a notch!

Lol, I don't want anyone to think I'm planning a drunken bash - I was just thinking that a food and drinks late lunch would be nice ;) I guess if you're driving home that probably wouldn't be a great idea....but, I digress.

Easton Town Center is going to be the location on a Sunday in September or October. I'm going to do a little research but, if anyone has any ideas please don't hesitate to let them be known. Also, if you've got a date preference please let me know as well.

Looks like we've got some great interest. I can't wait to finally meet you all!
