Hi,

I joined flower chat few months back. I have limited access till now. Posting this message may allow me full access.

I am 26 years old, running a flower shop in Delhi since past two years. This business is 11 years old and I got this from my brother.

The name of shop is Simply Flowers. 50 % orders are walk ins and 50% orders from phone and associates (florists and websites ).

Hi there,
I just wanted to say that you have the most beautiful country. I was there with my hubby in January and I spent some time buying from a local florist in New Delhi. Sorry I cant remember the name of the store but our friend Sarub Dadu took us there. It may well have been your shop. We did cause quite a stir. We were working there at the time as we have business interests in Nioda. I was training Indian staff about British Funeral Flowers and made up some funeral tributes so they could see them for size, colour, and variation and how beautiful and how much effort Uk florists put in to making Funery tributes. Funeral work is very popular here in the UK. I also made up some handtied bouquets and continetal bouquets.I think it helped them alot. Have alook at my web site www.iflorist.co.uk and you will see some of the pics designs. We travel to India regularly so next time I will try to pop in to say hi.
Kind regards chrissy.. Iflorist designer

Hi Harmeet -

Is this your shop information? (I used Google and it appears they are using their own Local/Maps business listings as results, which I find most interesting.)

Do you have a website?

Thats correct. This is my shop. Unfortunately I do not have a website at present. But you can have a look at my uncles's website www.rajindraflorist.com

He started this shop around 35 years back and is one of most well known florist in Delhi.

If you say Delhi is beautiful then I suggest next time you travel to Himachal Pradesh (beautifull scenery and hills) and you will be surprised.
It is not far from Delhi. We have regular flights from Delhi (1 hour or so).

Can you please clarify what was the purpose of training Indian staff? Do they work for you?

Hi Harmeet,
On our website we have a thing called live chat, where by customers should they experiance problems can chat to some one instantly. The live chat is run from our office in Noida. It is staffed for quite long hours to deal with differant time zones around the world. Its just another string to our business really. It is really important that our staff have a good understanding of the type of products UK florists make up. Funeral flower tributes for example is not something to familiar in Indian culture, so I was training the Noida staff about protocol, coffin tops, sheaths, wreaths, etc. So that they can give the best service to everyone involved. It was great fun and I made up handtied bouquets for them so they can see size options etc. I hope this answers your question, quite simply the people in India are so lovely and have loads of integrity but most of all they are really professional.

Hi Chrissay,

I chat with one of your representative yesterday and asked about you.
Since they are not located with you, they were unable to answer me.
Please call me (09873088088) or email me at [email protected] before you travel next time to India.

I am eager to know more about your operations in India and would like to meet you.Being a local florist, I can surely add value to your operations in India.

Hi Chrissy,

Can you or any member help me in finding a florist at Shkapina Street, St Petersburg, Russia. I have an order for this Monday.

Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
