Who: Florists of course!
What: A friendly get together for dinner & chats
Where: Barnegat, restaurant to be decided
When: Saturday July 19, 2008 - 5pm-ish
Why: Fellowship, Friendship and Business Stuff, in "Real Life", not just here on FC.

Dianne/NavyBrat, Adam/Master J and I all had such a good time last time we did this, we're repeating the get together, in my neck of the woods!

Please RSVP somehow to let me know you're interested in coming by, and we'll head to a good restaurant nearby.

Hope to see some responses to the invite!

Really looking forward to our second meeting! Hope to see others near us join in the fun and camaraderie! Tracy has been diligently working on revising my work room charts for designers. The charts give a break down on labor, container, greens and flower value to be used for various price ranges in arrangements. Designers using the charts will keep your COGS in line! If any other shop uses charts, we would appreciate you sharing them with us and we will share ours with you! Tracy and I are planning on completing the charts prior to going out to the restaurant. There are different charts for every day arrangements, funeral work and fruit baskets.

Adam-you bet your balls you better be there! The last thing you want is me messing with them!

Don't be shy! Join us for fun and knowledge! I'll try to be on my best behavior!

Guess now I REALLY have to finish these :tongue After sunday, I'm home free for most of July. Can't WAIT!!!! Though I do like the cash flow of June ;)

I love to drive, but know I can't make it over to New Jersey for dinner.

Wouldn't it be great if this could be a traveling dinner? Each month it moves just a couple of hours further away till all areas are covered. Think of the possabilities....

On second thought...after my senior class banquet our high school was asked to never return to a particular establishment. Now I'm not pointing fingers...but...I've seen some of you in action...

An hour or so - Dianne is even closer and Adam is in Philly. Maybe our August meet-n-greet could be out that way! Keep us informed if you are for sure going to be around, and we'll make plans.

That would be wonderful! Hopefully, we'll know the schedule in a few weeks but I'd love to meet all of you. (It's actually a vacation, I'm planning, but I'm such a type A personality that I have to fit business into the trip. Side trips appeal to my husband because A) He gets a break from me and B) We can deduct the biz expenses (he's an auditor). I think I'd go stir crazy without talking flowers for a week so this seems perfect.

Have fun at this meeting!
 
My fraternity in college had a travelling dinner--it was a pretty cool idea. The dinner would start with a few chapters in the east, then a couple brothers from that dinner would attend the next ones in adjoining regions. A couple brothers from that dinner would then go to the next ones in adjoining regions, and so on. We usually passed a flag or something symbolic from dinner to dinner, and took photos of the travels as well as the attendees at the dinners.

This one could start in NJ/Philly, then come over here to Pittsburgh (we'll need a big table for the Pgh dinner), and so on. Maybe we get a cool vase, and on shop makes a great arrangement and we use it as the centerpiece at the dinner. The traveller brings the flowers as a gift to the next group. How's that sound?

That's precisely what we are trying to do with shops near us. Would love to see more attend!

We've already had our first meeting, this is our second! Would absolutely love to have you and Kathy join us! We'll let you bring the flowers! Next time we'll head out of Jersey and into Pennsy!

Only if your hubby likes to flirt! I love crashers! Call if you're in our area...if you can't make the meeting, we can at least get together!

in case anyone else wants to join in - we've got 7 people coming, from
6 shops. More are welcome - meeting at my shop 5pm, 6pm ish.

Hope more folks can come for next time, wherever the get-together ends up.
