At the invitation of Dianne/NavyBrat , ((who is on the verge of her 1000th post - neener neener)), a couple of us got together this Saturday night for dinner. Adam/Master J, his lovely mom Eileen, and my husband Mike & I all gathered at a local restaurant near Dianne's store.

Alas, there was not a bottle of screw cap wine to be found, so these silly pics are all alcohol-free. We talked about different pricing techniques, holiday pressures, our store histories, and of course FOOD. Did I mention we waited F O R E V E R to be seated, so the pressure was on - Dianne picked a top notch eatery, and no one left hungry.

Thanks to Dianne & Adam for extending the invite to me & hubby - it was nice to have a terrific night out, with some like minded folks!

Left to Right - Eileen (Adam's Mom), me, Adam & Dianne in a g-rated Man Sandwich. :>

How Fun. Isn't it great to network with others of like interests? Reminds me of the Old FTD days when we interacted with our fellow florists.

It was terrific! We each have distincly different sized and focused shops, so hearing how each other worked always gets wheels turning.

Those daisies would look FABULOUS in your bubble bath :tongue

Thats just too hot! You should have called, I would have flown right on over with my Costco Champaign.
Next time chicken-florist!

You were the only thing missing, to class the joint up a little!

Very cool and fun... however, I noticed Mike's "pastie" slipped somewhat. ;)

Jug-handles!!!

Great pics Tracy! Scary, to think what would have happened if alcohol was involved....yikes! We had fun with you Jersey Girls, the food was great and made up for the wait! Just remember to give hostess your middle name (Shaneekah) next time!:bangles:

Thanks Di, also, for having us in your neck of the woods, I was really impressed with your flowershop & you run a tight ship girl!!! Just glad I don't work for you, ha ha, you would kick my asss!

Oh New Jersey!!!!
I had dreams of circles & jug-handles all night!:thumbsup

Hey Adam - we had fun, too. Hope you made it back without any scratches to your hot new truck.

I had dreams of circles & jug-handles all night!:thumbsup
Oh my, that sounds wrong in so many ways .... in case no one knows, jughandles are a NJ traffic solution to left turns. Drives out of towners crazy - well that and traffic circles.

Next time, we might head to Havertown!

Oooh! La! La! This is my 1,000th post...it doesn't get better than posting on this thread!

I had a total blast! The dinner was scrumptious and the company was enlightening! We were sooooooo hungry by the time we got a table that Adam and Mike ordered enough food to feed an army!

As for the pics...I wanted the pics we posted to be a little more interesting than just us sitting at a table with our hands folded. Next time I will be sure to provide plenty of alcohol. I might be able to talk Tracy and Adam into really letting loose of their inhibitions! I wanted to do some really kinky pics, but they wouldn't go for it! As you can see...Adam couldn't even get the proper placement for his gerbera! Hey...Trac! We need a pic of your photgrapher husband posted...make it good!

We are planning to set up monthly meetings and would love to have others in our area join in the fun! We will post our next date.

Adam & Tracy...thanks for a very memorable evening! You rock! Adam's mom is a sweetheart and Tracy's hubby could be trouble! Love it!!!!!

I'm thinking you guys had almost TOO MUCH fun!

Ummmm, what were you doing with Di's neck? LOL

Beth :~)

Perky!

OMG, you guys had a blast!

Adam, you know the best treatment for a droopy daisy? (*never mind*) :>

The real life F2F, Florist-to-Florist *in person*, is the best industry networking/b*tching/learning/ to be had.

Only thing missing was a webcam so we could all watch live!

ahhhh yes, perk it up with HydraQuik, a florist's Viagra, and some crowning glory to make it last longer!!

What a great thing to do!

I love the fact that you got together. Like Carol said, this is exactly the kind of thing that needs to happen more often. Getting together used to be the backbone of our industry. Maybe it can be again.
