Florist throwing out money!

I was browsing through my new Teleflora Book and a few listing caught my eye.


Three florist that I spotted in a few minutes have a card ad in the also service town or serving town they service. THe irony thing is that they are the only one listed. They are paying for a ad they don't need.

Check Echo Bay, On
Summerside, PEI
Alma, Quebec

How many more are listed that way in the directories....

Maybe I should work for them since they like to throw money out for nothing.

TF frequently runs specials over the slow months for "free" card ads in your ASB towns. The catch is that you have have have have to remember to cancel them before their next publication deadline, or you're billed for the next series of ads. We used to participate in these freebies where I worked previously, but marked the calendar in big red letters when to cancel. Another tricky tricky thing, added to the ever growing list.

I remember those call tracy and Why even bother signing up for them. They (both wire) hope you forget and get one or even longer directory money.

What surprises me is that some florist still do this, and the red bold lettering at a additional cost.

FTD does the same thing... and believe me, even if you remember to cancel... FTD doesn't. I've been arguing for months now on my friends behalf, to no avail. I must admit knowing what I know now, I would NEVER be a part of any of these organizations... period. (even though, when you send a letter of resignation, they offer a $99.00 deal... whatever)
