Florist to Florist RippOff!

Well, there seems to be a flowershop located in Leamington Ont who charged "their" customer $180.00 in cn funds to be called out to Me for a Funeral on April 2, 2004.

This shop collected the money and subtracted the 15 percent Ont tax and also subtracted out "their" sending fee and get this charged their customer Michigan Sales Tax(illegal as heck) and also took out $10.99 delivery fees and called me with this order for a TOTAL of $90.00 us funds.......guess what?

I'm stuck in the middle of this lieing cheating flowershops mess.

Watch out for Antonella Floral Design.....they love to tell tales and make up stories...the customer and I have now begun a Full Blown Investigation, I know I gained a new customer from Canada for anything to be delivered in my area..and they also are finding themselves a new flowershop in Leamington to work with.

Curtailing at it's worse and we wonder why people do not like to send flowers out of town.

wow!! There has been alot of talk on florist direct orders lately -- honestly I dont get why people make it so complicated. Charging tax on an order twice??? obviously a FWOAC !! All the chit chat on florist board about florists who expect a 20% commission from the florist they send an order to direct, and all the talk about who collects the tax -- LORDY LORDY !!! All we do is take the tax id number of the sending florist and all their shop info -- we tell them what we can do their arrangement for and thats it !! They put it on a credit card and seeing how the tax has already been collected on their end --- we dont collect again --- common sense. Oh well -- takes some people a bit longer to figure things out --lol

Sound like a order that came through internet.
If I was to send a order to you in the US for the $180.00 canadian, the receiving shop would received $132.00 US to do the arr.
THis machigan tax things is bull....
I guess some peole think that people don't check.

countrypetal, what this shop in Ont did was loose a local customer due to GREED. This B*&ch who owns the shop told me off saying she has been in business 12 years and she knows how to run a shop.

Well I guess us being in business for 44 years have not learned the ropes yet? :hammer:

Luc is right on with the numbers he mentioned..it doesn't take a rocket scientist to use a calculator and since I was only given a portion of the money that the canadian customer spent and MY name was on the piece who looks bad? ME! not the curtailing shop.

Sounds like she charges a high exchange rate. For us, it's 35% so Luc's numbers sound right. We do charge a wire charge but $10.99 for delivery is incredibly high.
