Website promoting using local flowers shops. Searched 4 towns and did not see one order gatherer. Check your town and see if you're listed.

I didn't see any OG there, but could not get it to pull up info on any florist. Everytime you click on one for info you are redirected to a yahoo page. Tried 5 different towns.

Would be a great asset if it works correctly.

All it would pull up for me and I fried 8 different cities in my area was
MCFlorist/Memorial City Florist in Houston. It looks like Ilocal. is MC/Memorial as all searches lead back to that florist site.

MC.Memorial Florist say they are the florist in my city, and I am not listed, neither are all the florist in cities around me.?????

Anyone else have that experience?

Also, forgot to add this, It says it promotes REAL florist but in several places it actually says for the public to send thru TF,FTD,1800, and not thru real florist with websites. Something about if you go thru the WS's you have recourse.

Who are these people and what are they up to???????

Floristdex and Ilocal are two different directories...
Floristdex was a member here a long time ago but I have not heard anything from him in over 2 years....
Ilocal still ranks up there and we do get orders via that listing. Mlou runs Ilocal and she is a member here.

You're talking about Michael McNeeley...

Michael worked in a FTD call center for 6 months...After leaving FTD,
he developed Floristdex.com during his freshman year in college (Eugene OR) to help pay his way thru...(around 2004)

His plan was based on Google Ad click throughs...after being removed from GoogleAds for click fraud, he made a deal with FTD for commission on all orders placed thru his site. That's the last time I talked with him.

I know his site is back in the GoogleADS program, so he is still recieving money for click thrus...

He added florist listings for ranking...but never pushed the directory part.

It was very confusing when I tried to see what Floristdex was.

Seems like I've heard alot about them recently. Like wanting people to sign up under their listings and such.

I'm going to try that site again and see what comes up this time.
