I have to do a flower girl basket this weekend with flowers and rose petals to throw. Using a Princess Basket. My usual way of doing this is to attach a bag at the back of the basket for the rose petals. I was wondering if anyone has a better suggestion to incorporate both the flowers and the petals right in the basket. I have been racking my brain, but I think it is on vacation!! So I am throwing it out there to see if my FC friends can help.

Thanks,
Julz

Idea from UK

One of my young designers, Heidi Lawley came up with this idea at a dem last week. The Carnations (left on their stems) are threaded through the calyx onto a length of aluminium wire and set as a circle. Looped leaves are added to create a collar and then the stems are gathered into a handle and bound with ribbon. The central well is lined with cello or Fabric Wrap and then filled with petals to serve as both holder and posy. Hope it helps.

You can also use g;ue and just glues flowers ribbon and fill around the lip of the princess and then insert the petals in the middle...so cute and pretty...I love glue, i love glue!!!!

Carrington, that is just the cutest thing. I love it! We don't often get asked for something like this but I think I will show it at the next bridal fair to get some intrest going.
