What are you top 3 (or 5) favorite movies for flower placement? Movies that help our industry.

The Godfather - did great wedding and funeral placement

Green card - did great plant placement

and more recently .....Sex and the city - Did great flower placement as did the TV show throughout it's run. They all were always shown to have fresh no fakey crap.

well, i don't know about movies, but Days of our Lives and the Today show does a hell of a good job!

Friends also - a small wall sconce type vase on a wall in Monica/Rachel's kitchen. I always noticed it because it always changed.

Bed of Roses? Corny romance movie about a florist. Bad point, a wistful moment when she is holding a droopy rose, day dreaming ... cut away, then back and the rose in magically fresh ... hate when I notice that stuff; it usually means I'm bored.

bed of roses is the stupidest florist movie ever.

In the Rookie, his mom is a florist, oh and in calender girls there is a florist.

Hey did you guys know that my 2nd Husband, Jon Bon Jovi, his Mother is a florist?

the worst wedding flowers are in 4 weddings and a funeral. Horrid.
And the stupidest line in any movie ever is in that movie "Oh is it still raining, I hadent noticed" WHAT ever!

Oh, and that Julia Stiles dancing movie,Save The Last Dance, the dead mom was a florist. Too busy with weddings & funerals to attend the all-important dance audition, mom rushes late to attend and is killed in a car accident.

Shannon, Jon Bon Jovi has a house on Long Beach Island, few miles from here ... we delivered there a few years ago, though he didn't sign for it.

I don't think I've ever seen a director use more flowers as props and symbols more than Martin Scorsese did in "The Age of Innocence" (starring Daniel Day Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Winona Ryder). There is a constant display of floral through out the whole movie. One scene that sticks out in my mind is when the Daniel Day Lewis character actually goes into a florist and purchases yellow roses.

If you like French films- Jean De Florette and Manon of the Springs are great period peices, centered around growing carnations. Lovely films.

Ever notice the Tres Contemporary floral arrangements in House?
You only catch small glimpses but all the flowers really creative and stylish.
Not like the hospitals in my neck o' the woods. Except for our flowers of course!

Run Away Bride, Four Weddings and A Funeral, My Best Friends Wedding

oh and the without a doubt UGLIEST ARRANGEMENT in a movie award goes to

fried green tomatoes... it's silk, on the counter at the nursing home, and it is god awful

My favorite floral line is by Eddie Murphy (I forget what movie -- Beverly Hills Cop perhaps?)

He's posing as a floral delivery person to gain access somewhere, and when challenged he replys "Floral delivery is my life."

I like that!

I normally don't like the romantic stuff but I thought that line about the rain was great!

But a great movie... and the arrangement was in keeping with the mood of the times.

The Today show and the Y and R do a great job with flowers.
