Okay, guys, this has nothing to do with floral design, but I thought I'd share a really fun site I've found.

This site has a lot of recorded live concerts from the past, going back at least to the '60s. I've even listened to some concerts I attended back in the day!! Allman Brothers, Led Zep, Boston, Tom Petty, Crosby Stills Nash and Young... amazing. Right now I'm listening to some old Jefferson Airplane from 1966, recorded live at the Fillmore in San Francisco (near where I used to live)... never saw them live, but love love love them!

Anyway, they also have those great old psychedelic concert posters you can buy. Some of them are pricey, but some not so much. Amazing blast from the past stuff.

Awesome Beth - thank you!

Listening right now to a Pink Floyd Concert I was at back in 1977. I was sitting right beside Timothy Leary.

I had 20 tickets for each night and took all my friends - tickets cost $8.50 each.

ahhh, memories...

I'm a concert going fool.

Very AWESOME!

Pink Floyd, Oakland Coliseum May 9th 1977.... I think I was there... Wish you were here too!

DUDE! I was there both nights at Oakland! That's the one I took all my friends to.

I was a hippy looking guy with long hair - I bet you saw me.

That tour I saw them at Portland, Oakland (2 nites), Cinci, New York (4 nites), and Montreal.

Oh he11 yeah

Jon,

I had a feeling you'd appreciate that link! Glad that Mark's enjoying it too. Who would have thought that someone was recording some of those concerts??? Did you guys grow up in the Bay Area too?

Beth :~)

I lived in Marin County (North Bay) for about 6 years - we called it the Marin Spin.

And did we ever rock and roll, lived large, took limos to concerts and indulged in the finest everything.

One of my past lives.

But I still go to conerts as much as I can - next one is Rush in June, Celine (for my wife) in October - those I have tickets for already.

This is SAWEET - I'm listening now to some Dead shows I was at (Prolly saw the Dead 60-70 times)

Small world.. altho we were somewhat poor.. couldn't afford Marin! I grew up and spent 40+ years of my life in Contra Costa Co. (about 35 mi. NE of SF). No limos for us... LOL.

Last concert we went to was last summer, Crosby Stills Nash & Young. It was wonderful! Sort of a concert/anti-Bush rally! Before that was a long lull and we saw Robert Plant. My kids were little and I didn't get out much. There's an amphitheater here that has some good concerts (Clark County Amphitheater) http://www.amphitheateratclarkcounty.com/schedule/index.php and I'm hoping they'll have something good this summer. Rush will be there, and the Police and Journey, and a few country performers (yawn).

That's where I have the Rush tickets to. Wish I would have seen Motley there about 18 months ago so this one I won't miss, even tho I don't remember Rush very well. I spent the 80's in a fog pretty much.

Bloomz--I used to live in San Rafael,, whatta place. Lived fun and large. Wish it was then!!!!!!!!

I lived in San Rafael, San Anselmo, Stinson Beach, , Bolinas, Mill Valley, Sausalito, and Lucas Valley back from about 73-79 - we moved around a lot.

We lived very large back then too - no fear.

This site is great Beth - listening to SRV now.

Favorite all time band hands down...Lynyrd Skynyrd! I actually have two copies of their "Street Survivors" LP with the band shown in front of flames. The LP was released just before the plane crash which took the lives of several of the original band. Right after the crash, the LP cover was changed. A true collector's item!

Thanks for the link, Beth. Wow! Those were some wild, fun filled days! I was one bad ass, little hippie chick...with red hair down to my knees...decked out in sweet little hot pants, midrif tops and suede tie up boots knee high. Whew! Sex, drugs and rock n' roll...not ashamed to admit it! Lucky I lived through it...some of my best buds didn't.

Ah yes... I remember it well...left a few brain cells there ;)

Well folks, in his mind he saw them that many...I think my highest count would be REO Speedwagon 22 times...they used to play here 3-4 times a year...

Thats back when drugs were safe and sex was too :)

I too am lucky to have made it through with enough brain cells left to function reasonably well on a good day ;)

I've seen Pink Floyd 17 times - 19 if you count 2 Roger Waters shows.

God's own band.
