Any one ever have luck negotiating down the flower shop network price??

Has anyone ever tracked their website hits from flower shop network, from a source other than their fake numbers? If so, how did it turn out?

Anyone really happy with their service as and additional WS not as a primary or for website traffic?

Lori,

In my two separate memberships with them (one currently), I have never heard of them negotiating price.

You are so right about the fake numbers. When I get that report I have a good laugh then file it, just in case I need it for something later...

If you have your own website, they are ok as an additonal web presence, their SEo is pretty good. But since they in error took my website down, my web orders have dropped. So could it be they are giving my area orders to other of their members and a few to me?? Who knows. But I want my website back!!!!

Unhappy that they ask my prices, then put up their own which have cost me.

I've had FSN for several years now and overall am very happy. The only negotiating they've ever done for me was to let me make payments over 3 or 4 months. I too think their traffic #'s are inflated and would be interested in knowing if there is some way out there to verify the actual #'s. I too use my FSN as a secondary site which I link to from a couple different sites. They've made some very nice recent upgrades to their services lately which I'm also happy with. I don't worry about what they are charging me as it's cheaper than the other WS's. Most of all they don't send you some sort of encrypted statement which gives you the appearance you are making money when in fact you are really losing your @$$. Their reporting is very clean and simple. In my opinion, I think they are the best game in town.

Absolutely you can verify the traffic numbers. We have some Florist 2.0 clients who have a directory listing in FSN, and using our analytics they can track not only how many visitors they get from FSN but how many sales and the $$ of each sale.

My experience in the past was that their tracking numbers and TF's did not match up...It seemed to me that they were saying every week that 3-400 people visited my site, but TF was only verifying that 10 visited....I quit because of this because the 10 verified did not cover the 240 a month not to use anything else they offered...I wasn't using their ws and wasn't getting f2f orders...

They have just called me and come down on their price to try them out for a year, I may try it...maybe it will be good for when I leave TF...I wouldn't be getting their website, I would be keeping mine...I am not too keen on their websites, not crazy for their stock photos..

240 a month? For what? I thought it was $299 for the year?

Sorry 240 a year mistype...so used to per month charges...

We are very happy with them. I don't pay attention to their numbers. We get lots os calls bc of the site. Works great with floristware also. We send out through them and get very few complaints like maybe 1 or 2 a year. Been lucky I guess.

Lori,

we signed up a few months ago and it was 240.00 yr and 349.00 for the website. 589.00 total.

They came down on their yearly price.....to what?????

199 the small town charge, just for a trial year...if i wanted the website it would be 349 additional, but I don't need it, nor do i like theirs..

They must be hurting for members. Small town charge...that's odd, you can't get much smaller than we are, and they never offered that rate to us.

We got orders at first but they have pretty much stopped. If our site was still up we'd be getting those orders anyway. The f2f orders were always ridiculously low and we refused 3/4 of what they sent. Perhaps a case of the other florist trying to skim.
Anyway, don't think we'll renew with them next year. We don't use them to send, we perfer to call the orders out on CC. Gives us a chance to talk to the filling shop.

They only came back with that because I told them that I quit once determining it was an unnecessary $240 a year charge for what they were offering and if their new program was so great and they needed someone in my area, then they needed to put their money where their mouth was and come down on the price...He waited 2 hours then called back and offered the small town charge, still not convinced I need this...I am only considering it because I have better analytics to track website hits, just not sure I want to spend 200.00 to see that I am losing it daily...

Does anyone want to share their bounce rates on their website for the traffic from FSN?

I see that its over 43% bounce rate. What gives? Is it the quality of the traffic? Or is something up with our website.

Would love see if anyone has simular experience.

fsn sends you a weekly or monthly email with your stats...the numbers they show are acurate..but those are just page views...if 100 people search for a florist in your town within the month, it will show 100 people viewed the "page" that your listing is on...to get the real results...scroll down to the bottom and see exactly how many clicked through to your specific site...I am in a decent sized city and i might get 6-15 clicks on my link in a weeks time...there is a reason why its only $250 yr...its because there are too many advertisers....they should either limit them or charge more, in turn limiting them.

go to www.getclicky.com to see exactly where your traffic is coming from...then you will know what works and what doesnt...fyi, im linked up with a local site that supposedly gets more than 3 million hits pers yr, yet i never see any info on my analytics showing anyone has clicked on any one of the many links on their site...sooooooooo, when it comes time to decide if im going to continue or not...i have records showing it isnt working...

Lori, you are probably confusing pageviews of FSN ads (3-400) and click-through numbers (~10). FSN stats are pretty accurate.

Does anyone want to share their bounce rates on their website for the traffic from FSN?

Usually 0-10%. It's one of the highest quality click-through available, much better than AdWords or even Google maps. People who go through FSN sites seem to be very much committed to purchase from a local florist.

I see that its over 43% bounce rate. What gives? Is it the quality of the traffic? Or is something up with our website.

Is it possible that you are getting some of the traffic from their blog (http://www.flowershopnetwork.com/blog/)? You can check this in Analytics. Click-through from FSN blog has a high bounce rate.
