There has been so many changes in my town the last 6 months in regards to flower shops....

Kabloom is now Melrose Blossoms
Melrose wakefield florist is now a full 800-flowers franchise
Pepperberries downsized and moved
Coates has changed hands 5 times in 3 years

now the shop that just opened 1 1/2 years ago around the corner from me is closed until oct 15th for renovations...WTF!!!

How in God's name do you just open 1 1/2 years ago to a fully and newly renovated shop and need to renovate again....they have been more closed than open in the last few months and have signs on their door with more and more rediculous reasons for closure..This one takes the cake...The shop is a disaster inside, but it looks like they had a huge wedding and needed to take down some shelving just to make some room for what they had to make....Does this sound like renovation or spin on I am completely overwhelmed and need a break....

Then take it all in stride.........Post a big notice on your sign stating that you aren't changing names, and are not closed...or do something to let people know you are still here and willing to serve them.......and start laughing all the way to the bank.

Great answer Ricky. Sounds like the shop around the corner won't be there long.
They're probably just packing up to beat the landlord out of the last months rent.
I've seen that one pulled around here.

Bright side is Lori you may be the "go to place" here before long!! Outlast, outplay...

The florist a couple of miles from me who is also in teleflorist has not opened in 3 weeks. No notice on door, not told teleflorist, so still comes up to take deliveries in the area. You can still order on their website. So I get alot of panic calls from TF HQ with the can you help us. Plus side we are getting their customers aswell.:)
