A rather odd news story about siblings fighting over funeral flowers. This one ended up in court.

We've never had a fist fight in the shop but have had a number of memorable family exchanges including a restraining order to prevent certain family members from attending the service. Aren't families fun?

We had a client who's sister & niece were tragically murdered this summer in another state. The families (sister's family & her in-laws) fought in court for a week over the custody of their remains. The judge ordered two seperate services to be done. Not sure what happened with the burial, there was a fight over that too.

Funerals always bring out either the best or worst in people. Thank goodness for the most part it's the best.

I have seen double obituaries for deceased persons. Each of the two will be exactly the same except that each one will list a different time for the Receiving of Friends (Wake) and often different times for the service. We did a casket piece for one such service, and when we delivered it, there was another arrangement on the casket. The funeral director said that there will be 2 seperate services and there will be different flowers at each service. When I asked which flowers would be placed on the actual grave, he said, "As of now, all of them."
