Hello Flowerchatters,

We've had a couple of groups so far and we have ammended the tour slightly to include the Mindo Cloud forest: about 90 minutes away by car. Mindo has the most bird species of any place in Latin America. The day trip includes bird watching (birding for you in the know), a visit to a Hummingbird cafe where you will see closeup dozens of wild hummingbirds feeding from plants and special bottles. There is also a visit to a Butterfly farm.
A word about safety: All of you heard about the recent "President vs. The Police" incident. This trip does not include facetime with El Presidente nor his critics. You will be staying is a very safe building and will be accompanied when touring.

We have a space for one florist for the tour during the first week of January.

WE make the arrangements to get to Quito??....

Well we traded our Puerto Rico trip the first of January for Ramiro's flower farm Tour. The second week we will tour The Galapagos Islands, since it is also in Ecuador and we have always wanted to go. So If anyone is interested in the first week in January, we will be there. Ramiro has been very accomodating, helpful, and reassuring. We made our plane reservations on 9-26 and went fishing the next day, lo and behold when we got back on Thursday, we found out about the problems in Ecuador, I just started laughing, my husband paniced, and we had major negotiations about going. but all is good now, and I can't wait. My husband will be playing golf for 1 and 1/2 of the farm tour days, which Ramiro has been kind enough to set up.
