What's with Flowers by Sears trying to send orders by FTD ???
Today , while I was out of town, one of my Staff received a call from FTD Headquarters wondering if we'd fill an order; Tammy asked what was the name of the florist the order was coming from. Before answering can you guess what the FTD operator said? I love this... "Oh, this must be Atkinson's" lol Gee, why do I get the feeling they won't miss us! The order was from Flowers by Sears!

BTW, do I really have to say that we didn't fill the order!!

Sears had been doing it for years with TF and Florafax.
I feel sorry for FTD. Their agressivness in going after big name sales channels is suicidal. On one hand they are pissing off florists by firstly turning them into order filler sweat shops and secondly by increasing the dues to pay for the expenses associated with fulfilling the high profile partnerships.
Like they say, you cannot sell from an empty cart, FTD is trying to sell apples, lots of apples, but will soon find no carts to hold them in. More and more florists are making the tough decision to survive w/o wire services.

I guess they have to try others way to get their orthers filled since you wont fill them teleflora or direct with them.
I stopped filling for FTD for a while now. Once in a while they phone me, only for me to refuse. You want to use the other shop, then use them but do not come to me when you can't your orders filled by them.

I'm surprised, Sears isn't associated with FTD, they're associated with Teleflora. If it came from Headquarters, they'd have send it dove so it was likely sent from an individual flower shop who is Sears but may not be Teleflora. When you can't find a florist, go domestic retrans.
