Spent last night at Bill Doran Chicago hearing Ramiro's delightful presentation on Flowers For Kids. What a great guy with an amazing attitude towards kids. His program intruduces children to our world of flowers.
Now I'm always a bit sceptical, and my rule of thumb is "if it's too good to be true....." But I can't find a loop hole in this one. The concept is so simple, he's written a script, produced all the literature, hand-outs and worked out the deal with our wholesaler, Bill Doran.
You visit the school, give the presentation, entertain the kids for a short time and watch the follow through. The kids are given an official invite to visit us with their parent, take a fun follow up test and given their diploma and some additional flowers. You're putting flowers in their hands twice, getting them excited about flowers and making future customers out of them and their parents.
Without a doubt this is a WIN-WIN situation that you should investigate ASAP. If he's not in your area already, contact your wholesaler and ask to bring him and the Flowers For Kids program in. You'll be happy you made the effort.

Just a little side note....as stated in another thread....Ramiro is too cute!

sorry, holly

i can't agree with you on the "too cute" stuff.
however, ramiro, has a great deal of passion for what he does.
and if anybody can reverse the aging trend of the florists' customer...it will be his flowers for kids program.
i love the dynamics of this program.
if 100 florists talk to 100 kids....you have 10,000 potential customers being developed.
sometimes you have to invest in your future.
