Fossett Search

As you know Steve Fossett is still missing...

What got me last night, is that they have (with the help of Google Earth and many individuals) found 6 other plane crashes dating back some 50 years (according to last Fridays Time magazine). Six crashes...not found years ago, and just now being located...sheesh....

As to Fossett, since they have searched an area twice the size of New Jersey with no results, I'm starting to think the dude *intended* to **vanish**. He had all the best "toys" no logical reason he can not be located...and why is his best friend...Branson... not out there with his megabuck-technology looking?

The amazing powers of Google Earth. This doesn't surprise me though that they are only just now finding some crashes. I mean when Google Street came out, people found pictures of people peeing and doing tons of other funny things. All I can say though is that someone has way too much time on their hands to find all those things

you gotta remember that Google Earth is usually only updated when an hi-def upgrade is done. Many areas haven't been done in hi-def (like most of the state of Maine) and until that, you don't know when the last picture was actually taken. (according to my hubby the google earth nut)

I've thought from the start that the guy probably disappeared on purpose. Don't know why, just a gut feeling.
