Earlier today we gathered with my grandparents for a picture in front of our store to show the four currently surviving generations of our family. I'm actually the fifth generation to work here, and hopefully Wesley will be the 6th ... but the first two generations have been dead about 80 years, so they couldn't make it to the photo shoot. ;)

The first picture is (left to right):
Wesley, Ryan (Me), Lynn (my Mother), and Bill (Grandfather)

The second picture includes the ladies who make it all possible:
My wife, Janis (and baby 2.0 under that tank top), and Marion (Grandmother)

Awesome photos! You might want to frame them and display them in your shop (customers love ancestral family continuity). For your family to continue the business for so many generations is, no less than, legendary! Much success to you, your family, and business always!

We used to attend all the conventions and I remember the Martin's there. Saw Bill at the FC convention held in some resort a couple hours north of Toronto within the last 10 years.

Many years ago, I was in some city in Ontario and I didn't know that your shop was in Toronto (and I wasn't in Toronto). I was looking to get some cut flowers for someone and saw the name Martin's so went into their shop thinking it was your grandfather's. They gave me the strangest look when I asked how Bill was .... it was much later when I found out I was waaaaayyyy off.

Nice to see families still plugging through in this business. Makes me feel proud. Nice photos Ryan.

Actually Ryan, instead of hugging someone named Joanne and creating all kinds of problems, give JANIS and hug for me! Lord what a twit I am.

I apologize, while typing the response, Joanne came in to the office and started talking...

Rock on Brother!!!

Years ago, we got a shot of 5 generations, (not all in the biz) and it was really cool.....then we did the 3 that were in the biz at one time, paper made a big splash outa it....

Congrats Ryan, this does not happen every day!
