Nothing is sacred...

The new "Freedom®, a rose in honor of Rosa Parks" was announced today during a ceremony held at Detroit's Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

Organic Style Ltd. (http://www.OrganicStyle.com), which developed the project, will donate ten percent of on-line sales from this special variety of vibrant red roses to Detroit's Rosa & Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development (http://www.RosaParks.org), which was co-founded by Rosa Parks and Ms. Elaine Eason Steele in 1987.
...
The Freedom® rose bouquet will retail for $49.95 (plus tax and shipping), and is available at http://www.OrganicStyle.com, and from participating florists and retailers across the nation.

But, there's obviously a market for organic lifestyle products.

The Freedom rose was named to honor Rosa Parks, or the museum has chosen that rose to honor her? Either way, it's a beautiful rose.

Today is the anniversary of that day in 1955 when she refused to give up her seat on the bus.

There is no denying........Organic is IN.

Veriflora is at least an assurance of fair and responsible growing.

I don't think Freedom was named for her.
