Jon, I don't drink coffee... something bad happens to it between the aroma and the taste. However, the smell of instant coffee is one of the worst things to attack my nose. Yuck!

Become a purist like my brother.

I totally agree V...I LOVE the smell of coffee just can't stand the taste. I'm a hot chocolate lover though! Hubby says I just haven't found my coffee yet...I don't think I want to.

I truly have tried to like coffee. I've tried almost every incarnation you can think of... I can still taste that coffee flavour... yetch.

You know what I do since I love the smell of coffee so much. You know how in the market they have those coffee bean dispensers now and you can make your own bag in the aisle? well sometimes I sneak up to it and put my hand under and dispense a few beans, about 4-5 beans just to carry them in my pocket and take out once in awhile to sniff. ok that's my secret for the week!!

When you've had good coffee, everything else is yuk by comparison.

I got hooked in Venezuela. Fresh roasted and ground beans. strong enough to stand the spoon upright in the cup and then a small carafe of warm cream.

it's all about the beans and the water. And it better be strong - none of that weak swill.
