FSN is Down!

You right. Hopefully it is just a problem with their website and not their business. I had a lady call me yesterday that said she was looking at their site but didn't get my own site when she tried to click on it. I gave her my website and she choose something from it and booked on the phone. I was going to check into it but I got too busy after that and forgot and now their site isn't working at all.I will keep an eye on it and if and when it comes back up I will make sure that people can click onto my own site from theirs because that is what I pay for.

Yes, its down in Asheville, too. No wonder we haven't gotten an order for over 9 months.

That sucks Mike. I know that the directory listing alone doesn't do much, but using it as our eCommerce solution for the past several years has been very good for our business. I found that creating our own separate site 7 months ago or so, complete with the Florist Blog etc has added a great deal to our traffic and sales, and a PPC campaign doesn't hurt either.

Less than 10% of our site views now come from the directory, and now with the new editing features, we are testing out how far we can actually take ourselves with it. (You can also add a blog now)

It's fairly reasonable to add the editing features, and it gives you the ability to manipulate the pricing and content. (I find they are a little high for our market)

Good luck all! That being said, WTF is going on over there? :help:

Duane, We now have a Strider E-commerce website. It is listed on FSN. And , we are now out of all wire services, so we intend to use FSN for wire outs. Their people told me that this will then increase your incoming orders. Do you use them for wire-outs? Ifso, how has that been for you.
Thanks, Mike

Oh, I see. Wish I had a Strider site! Maybe later this year...

We don't get much in the way of wire ins, and typically use the site to find a florist and call it out 100% rather than using the system.

Buffie likes to speak to the florist on the other end, and find out what they have in stock before sending an order.

Not gonna happen!

Blogs will continue to become a more important component of consumer communication, as well as an integral part of web marketing.
