Is anyone taking advantage of either of these two programs. Looks like these programs are design to help make florist cash register ring. ( there you go ToTo ). Any feedback ?

Shane

I am not sure but I believe you must have an FOL site to take advantage of the offer. Sounds like a good deal though really.

Nope

and for which one.. You don't need it for either. Atleast this is the info I got from Tim Steltzer ( sp last name? )

I mean just add the ftd logo and they will pay 25% of the advertising. Radio, News Paper, TV. How many florist add the logo to there yellow page ads ? I wonder if you can get 25% of the cost back on something most already due. If I had a yellow page add I would ask.

Shane

I believe the max. FTD will reimburse is $2500 per year...
Not sure where I heard that, but I believe this to be the case.

Keep in mind that if you use the TEL logo in the yell. pages ad as well as the FTD logo, that ad may not be eligable...again, not sure in this but it would make sense...

I will look into this though, sounds like a good deal though!

FTD advertising incentive

Herb you are right.. it is 25% up to $2500. but it is on any advertising you do I think,, at least that is what I heard at convention.. so if you do radio or newprint or go into their new Brides Mag offer.. or whatever.. if you can document it they said they will co op money back to you.. I signed up but have not gotten anymore literture on it so I am only relating what I was told at convention

Back inside page, July FTD Newsletter

Since florists don't always read the thing...it's in there...

Re: There ya go TOTO from SHANE

Hey Shane?

I heard they kick in 25% and up to $2,500.00 of YOUR MONEY.

While it's a START, I'm also sure that, you'll be required to PROMOTE THEIR PRODUCTS and STOCK EM TOO.

In my partnership, (a marriage), the lovely LINDA and JOHN share everything on a 50/50 basis, except in the JEWELRY DEPARTMENT. "]

Hey, TOTO?

Ya couldn't be ASSUMING that we members have to stock & promote their products, could ya? Cause if ya did, you'd be WRONG.

The program gives us part of our ad money back for what we were doing any way...which is including the Merc Man logo in most of our ads & yellow pages.

Another thing. Last I checked, my membership was simply a tool in my toolbox...not a marriage.

Unless your married to your SCREWDRIVER, take this new tool for what it is...a tool which lets me do the job of making/saving money.

B*** about FTD all you want (& I know you will), but this new program is a nice start in putting money back in MY POCKET straight through to my bottome line!

I'll wait for the one Year Statics FIRST!

You folks can advertise with those "cash back dollars" to offset your costs in advertising all you want, that LOGO must be in place ....I have noticed when I get my CC statement back from calling some of these members of the "club" it say's "ABC Florist/FTD.com

Dang who do you think the customer will remember? ABC or FTD?...FTD.com is my bet and I cannot wait to see this with TF.con too.

How would you folks know this??????? you will not unless you send yourselves and order to yourselves using a CC. Just another incentive in the REBUILDING of FACE.

Don;t waste your breath... not worth the effort man...

These two just do not get it, lets see, $2500.00 back to me in a year...hmmm...thats a profit on my membership dollars of nearly 80%... and thats not including credit cards...

So like John says, yes, we are getting our money back...AND THEN SOME!

I am looking into it right now, talked to them about it today, and it sounds like a @@@@ good deal to me.

I keep looking for the hidden string, but don't find it yet.

Use only the FTD logo? no problem, for $2500 I will quit putting the dove logo in my ads.

Wonder if teleflora will try to counter it?

Nope no strings, that I could find, use ANY type ad, even web, with just the Merc Man and ya get the bucks...

As to a TF counter move, I would expect one, they (both) seem to play copy-cat...but ya never know, maybe they can't afford it this time around....

Ah Prestonway, you know MEE! After small BOB's date rape of seven years, it's really hard to TEACH AN OLD DOG their NEW TRICKS. However, I DOO keep an OPEN MIND and we'll watch, wait, and see, what MIKE might have up his sleeve. After all, coming into a MAJOR MEMBER RELATION DISASTER can't be easy for him. And, his only question is; Which pieces do I pick up and TRY TO PUT BACK TOGETHER? And then, CO-OP advertising isn't NEW anyway. Back in the day, the member owned and operated association did a @@@@ pretty good job in that department, the end result being that; THE BRANDED STUFF SOLD making OUR CASH REGISTERS RING!

Hmmm....last I knew I still had my own 5000 sq ft building, and with a running floral business, and real employees (9) and a real van (dodge) and real bills to pay, and some of the best technology in the biz...

Thats like saying you make your money on EBAY!

BTW...been in my store the last couple weeks...and the part abut not getting it is simply this... SOME florists have higher volumes than others, and SOME florists can work the "System" to their Advantage and stack the deck in their favor, to play the game differently than others. Guess that make us Non-independant folks the bad guys nowadays...kinda like us Tech folks were bad, until you got some of your own????

And the smoke is just about done cook'n:bloomz:
