FTD branded containers

We have decided to discontinue carrying certain branded items. I'm wondering which ones, if any, you who are FTD members consider worthwhile to stock. I pride myself on getting alot of good deals when I buy containers elsewhere ,and they are quality items.

We do not carry very many branded containers, never did. We did order a couple of containers from FTD a month or so ago, something we would use in the course of every day business and that were reasonably priced.

Most usually we do not carry any branded product from any wire service.
 
Some containers I like (but not the arrangements in them) is the Comfort Planter, Faithful Blessing, and the Bear Hug thing. Our customers love the Comfort Planter and I don't think it is a bad price. Everything else isn't that great.
 
We carry the Big Hug (we get a lot of calls for that one) and the Pick Me Up Bouquet. We also carry the Sweet Baby Boy and Girl, but I may stop buying them as we haven't had too many calls for that lately.

Nothing in FTD's line up sells.

the only thing worth buying is the cheap baskets REALLYCHEAP baskets with free shipping

You can't beat FTD's price on 83 cent wicker baskets -- freight included.

Their glass specials are also really good.

I particularly liked the glass vase that fit 10 tulips when I needed to fill TF web and wire orders.

This last holiday proved to me that the FTD containers are heading the way of the horse and buggy.
We didn't code for any, didn't at Vday or Xmas either.
Didn't have one single request for them either.
Won't be carrying holiday branded products ever again.
 
We have a couple everyday hits from Teleflora that we stock regularly and that's it.

The New Baby Wagon and the Smiley Face are all time best sellers.
 
If I carry anything coded from FTD it would be the comfort planter. Quick, easy, and they mrkt and sell a lot of it. With minmum labor, it is one thing that makes a decent profit. And it easily sells out of my shop at the same price. Faithful blessings is another popular one, not a lot of labor, easy in easy out, but it's not my favorite, and you must have lilies on hand.

Those are the only two from Teleflora that sell well in our shop.

We get several orders per week (not including wire-ins) for the following FTD branded:

-Big Hug
-Comfort Planter
-Because Your Special (can't keep them in stock)
-Live, Love, Laugh
-Faithful Blessings

I too have ceased to carry, and will NEVER EVER order a *branded* container again!

I get very similar "look-a-likes" from a local supplier that researches the WS and at a much better price, generally 50% less with no shipping.
 
Only two from FTD sell here

The only one we get requests for are the Faithful Blessings and Pick Me Up. People love the stripes on the Pick Me Up. Otherwise, forget it.

Buy inexpensive ones elsewhere that look like the wire order containers... and when they ask... let them know you have a "similar container". Most florist and customers are happy with that.
