Up till yesterday, this was on the FTD.com website as $49.95 when they Merc us an FTD.com order to fill it for $49.95 INCLUDING Delivery on Valentines. We rejected the order and said no way Jose. They called back and asked if we would do it for $59.95 including delivery and we said I would entertain it for $69.95 PLUS delivery..... and she said she could not understand why we could not do it for that. We just told her to UPS is like their .con stated.

As Charlie Brown said, "Good Grief!".

Wish more folks would do that...

Good talking to you today Clay...

We too have gotten two orders in the past two days for the V6... Both rejected...odd, we're not even codified for it. Always thought it was not possible for .CON to send a codified item to a non-codified shop...wonder if it was forwarded???

Not going to take any crap on Wire Ins this year...

Sent a response to the gen msg I got twoo weeks ago about verifying my prices for all of the VD specials...I raised everything...the v6 to 69.99 plus del...these prices were suppose to be good for the first week of FEb...then I sent them a new msg raising the prices again....so far in the last 24 hours I have asked for more money or a "can" on 8 of them....what is the freakin point to ask me my prices, have me spend my time sending it and then just ignore it....I too am fed up with the antics....

Yea, just because I got 6 total V1 (same vase, different flowers) in the smallest possible combo pack (why in the hell did it even do that....I am stupid sometimes), they thought that i would use that expensive vase with 12 roses to fill their $49.95 incl del "Pro Flower competing" arrangement????

I am the only FTD left in our town of 65k, the other one bailed the last of 2005. I just reminded them of their FTD.com description "This product is available ..... next day delivery by FedEx®, DHL® or UPS®."

I think those codified ask questions are as it relates to your FAH and what you sell them for locally. Of course they expect you not to charge them that much tho...

Keep your grounds!!!!!!

For those shops who have the advantage over FTD, keep your grounds.

I do not fill for FTD for over 1 year. They don't want to play nice in MY SANDBOX, they don't get to play.

EVERY FLORIST has ftd.com by the balls. Squeeze them once in a while to show them Who's Boss. You!!!!!! THey have to rely on you on those last minute orders. And if they ask why you can't do it for $49.95. Tell them you are paying more and more for roses from the growers.

I know at the begining it feels weird to say No and yopu may get to rethink your stance, but don't back down, it get easier.
Remember they are competing for your customers as much as you.
Remember they are bringing those low market order gatherers.
Remember they are the ones who are raising their marketing fees....
Remember their so called promises....

Should I say more...

Wal-Mart / Ftd, and I thought FTD couldn't get anymore chinsey. Now all you *Proud to put the FTD sticker on your shop.van/ads* can look forward to being compared with Wal-mart. The unspoken scarlet letter is slowly and sublety being placed in the minds of your consumers. The cheese has moved! The cheese has moved!

Hmm... I thought Krogers was in bed with FTD. Interesting to see them with PF now. No wonder FTD's scared - ProFlowers is already attacking their *new* target member base.
