FTD Containers.....

ummm......can some of you help me out??
I'm curious if you ordered a mixed pack of codified FTD containers for the Mother's Day holiday, and how much you paid for it??...please!!

I paid

I paid $1.00 a container.

I talked to the sales rep and told then to cut out:bangles::bangles: the middle man and instead of selling them to "Dollar Store" after the holiday, to just sell them to me now at that price.

It was a win-win for them since they got rid of stuff that have no plans to promote in the first place.

Yup. I got two cases of the green snowflake "candy dishes" at our local Dollar Tree for 1.00/pc. I think they were listed for 6.95 or something/pc in the FTD catalog when I called marketplace.

But, it isn't just FTD. Most, if not all, companies dump their out of date product on jobbers who sell it anywhere to make a buck.

I have found FTD AND Teleflora containers in the dollar, discount, and overstock stores. In fact, I even spoke to one of our reps about it and his response, this was a good many years ago btw.....the response was somethig akin to " So what, if you don't buy them, we gotta unload them somewhere "

and if this small shop tried what sfox tried, we'd get told to just grin and bend over...........but add up all those little shops that get scre**d purchasing their overpriced crap.......
Another reason to educate the Mom & Pop's.......
