I had a problem with a recent outgoing order. It got auto-forwarded to a shop that was closed, so, the order didn't get sent out. I talked to FTD and went 'round and 'round about it, and, was told that the Mercury sends us a message that tells us it was forwarded, so, it's up to us to check that shop and ensure that they are open and deliver on Sundays (which was the delivery date requested). Seems like the technology should be better, but, it's not so we have to work with what we have.

Does anyone know how to turn off the auto-forward option so the first shop is required to just reject it?

Secondly, does anyone know on the Mercury direct site how to look and see if a florist is open Sundays and if they delivery Sundays? I have poked around in there and don't see any easy ways to tell one way or another.

Thanks!!!

Here's how to....

To turn off auto-forward: When you are creating the order, where you choose the florist, there is a little square to the right. Click in the square and it won't auto-forward.

To check and see what hours they are open: Highlight their store info and click. It takes you to a second page that has details of hours, etc.

Thanks for the help - but, I think it's more complicated for me. Our orders get sent out through our POS system - MAS - so, sounds like I have to look into this a bit more. I was hoping there was some big off switch on Mercury Direct that would be for all our orders.

You can get Abner to turn that off for you - I've done it, but it comes back with each directory update so you have to remember to do it again.

Something about instead of FTO it goes /X in the flag (that's not exact but Abner knows it)

If you are still having problems, I would suggest calling Network Support - most techs are very helpful. I would also follow up with your Marketing Counsler regarding that order. Sometimes it pays to let them be aware of what is going on. I keep mine in tune with what is going on - product problems or order issues, then she helps following up as well.
