It seems like every time I turn around I get a phone call, email, or in the mail about We need YOU!!!! ; but costs X amount for us to list you. What is the deal with all the networks..... I guess this is the new thing of money making with the word FLOWERS attached to it on the net.
I always read about and check the OG list Boss has provided which is definitely needed, so I'm thinking someone needs to step up and be Sheriff of the networks or at least be an ambassador to finding the in and outs of them anyways.

Today I get a real nice pamphlet saying we need FTD partners. It's called Flower Movers Network. www.flowermoversnetwork.com On this one it has 3 categories $149.99, $199.99 & $249.99 , advertising helps Retail Florists. (sounds like FTD fees)

The pictures are FTD cookies, has the florists online logo, so does this mean the wire services are starting network sites now? It's suppose to be based out of Denver. Maybe I'm assuming this is a new thorn in my side, please someone tell me it's not!

If this is the case of it being associated with FTD then I would think all members should not have to pay to be in this network. (just wishful thoughts)

Has anyone heard of this 1?

They are a network within a network it appears. If they don't have a member to fill your order, they will send it over the wire service. When they tried to sign me last year, it was Teleflora according to them. They weren't very enthusiastic about answering my questions. Kinda' like a car dealer.

FlowerMoversNetwork.com is basically a directory where you buy a listing for your city. If they don't have a member in a town, the company gathers the order and sends it through a WS to a local shop.

Here are some previous threads discussing the company:

OK kids... WHO IS?

The idea isn't new and is being done by the majority of online florist directories although the methods of gathering vary from site to site.

Again - try out their shopping cart - I found a florist in Portland Or, but then try to order and see what you get - you use their shopping cart - you never get to go to the florists website. And it looks like only 1 choice per category.
It's a strange setup but I'm sure they're getting orders from it, mainly from towns with no florist.

Call their toll free number

and see what you get. If you have the patience to get through all the switchboard and advertising prompts they will tell you that they will find a florist in the area to do the actual delivery.

Their listed prices are way high! Their delivery charge is double ours! It is a genuine skimming scam!
